Heart of Stone is the newest event on the crimewriting festival calendar. Set in the beautiful old fishing town of Stonehaven, Scotland, it will welcome crimewriters and their fans from near and far.
In its pilot year of 2026, the spotlight will fall on local writers as well as bestselling authors from further afield, with a series of talks, events and book signings.
The aim is to grow Heart of Stone into something that can proudly take its place alongside Stonehaven’s other popular occasions, including the Folk Festival, the Wee Gaitherin’ Poetry Festival, Midsummer Beer Happening, Feein’ Market, Harbour Festival, Fireballs and Ma Simpson’s events.
